Vibration motors are not used on their own – they’re attached to a product/device/piece of equipment that is intended to vibrate. Therefore we are interested in the whole system (motor + target mass). We measure the vibration amplitude by mounting the motor on a known target mass and reading the results from an accelerometer, see more here.

Consulte Mais informaçãoTime Domain Vibration Analysis . Vibration analysis starts with a time-varying, real-world signal from a transducer or sensor. Analyzing vibration data in the time domain (amplitude plotted against time) is limited to a few parameters in quantifying the strength of a vibration profile: amplitude, peak-to-peak value, and RMS, which are identified in this simple sine wave.
Consulte Mais informaçãoFor vibration spectra, the peak amplitude at a particular frequency is exactly √2 times (roughly 1.4 times) the rms amplitude at that frequency. Thus which amplitude type is used is not really important since amplitude conversions 7 may be readily done.
Consulte Mais informaçãoMar 14, 2019· Vibration Amplitude. The maximum amplitude or range of the vibration you are measuring determines the sensor range that you can use. If you attempt to measure vibration outside a sensor’s range, it distorts or clips the response. Typically, accelerometers used to monitor high vibration levels have a lower sensitivity and lower mass.

Consulte Mais informaçãoVibration is a mechanical phenomenon whereby oscillations occur about an equilibrium point. The word comes from Latin vibrationem ("shaking, brandishing"). The oscillations may be periodic, such as the motion of a pendulum—or random, such as the movement of a tire on a gravel road.. Vibration can be desirable: for example, the motion of a tuning fork, the reed in a woodwind instrument or ...

Consulte Mais informaçãoNov 12, 2018· Understanding vibration analysis starts with understanding the simple mass-spring-damper model shown in Figure 1, where m is the mass, k is the spring constant, c is the damping coefficient, x represents the displacement from equilibrium and f defines the force acting on the mass as a function of time.It also helps to understand some simple equations (Table 1) that describe the …
Consulte Mais informaçãoThere are two basic types of vibration motor. An eccentric rotating mass vibration motor (ERM) uses a small unbalanced mass (we usually call it eccentric weight) on a DC motor, when it turns it creates a centrifugal force that translates to vibrations. A linear vibration motor contains a moving mass attached to a wave spring, which creates a force when driven.
